What you can expect from ÉPAINOS and what is expected of anyone using the site, the tools and future releases. Plain language. Legally binding.
ÉPAINOS is a design-led studio based in the Netherlands. It covers digital tools, studio work, selected imagery, a curated radio channel and a small readership channel. Nothing on this site constitutes a partnership, agency or employment relationship unless explicitly agreed in writing.
You may read, share and quote from this site for personal and non-commercial purposes. You may not scrape the site at scale, republish copy or imagery as your own, or use any part of the brand in a way that implies an association that does not exist.
Digital files, physical POD products and tools released by ÉPAINOS are licensed for personal use by the purchaser unless a product licence says otherwise. Resale, redistribution and publishing as templates of your own are not permitted. Products are sold through a third-party merchant of record that handles VAT and payment. Each release ships with its own licence file; where the licence file differs from these terms, the licence file governs that product.
10% of net revenue from every sale is ring-fenced into the ÉVault and split 20% trees / 40% community / 40% development. ÉReceipts (the public ledger) publish monthly on the /vault page. The ÉVault is a voluntary commitment and is not a registered charity; no tax deduction is offered or implied.
Studio engagements are selective. Terms for any given engagement are set in a separate agreement before work begins. Nothing on the public site constitutes a binding offer for studio services.
The site and its releases are provided as-is. ÉPAINOS keeps things online where reasonable but does not guarantee uninterrupted access.
To the maximum extent permitted by Dutch and EU law, ÉPAINOS is not liable for indirect losses arising from use of the site, the tools or future releases. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under consumer law.
These terms may be updated. The last-updated date is noted at the end of this page. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
