ÉPAINOS
02Privacy

ÉPAINOS collects the minimum data needed to run a small, well-made website and channel. Nothing is sold. Nothing is shared with marketers. What is collected, why, and how to remove it. All below.

  1. 01

    What is collected

When you visit the site: basic request logs (IP, timestamp, page, referrer, user agent) held briefly by the hosting layer. When you join the readership: the email address you provide, optionally a name. When you enable analytics cookies: anonymised usage data via Google Analytics 4 covering pageviews, device class and referrer. That is the full list.

  2. 02

    What is not collected

No advertising identifiers. No fingerprinting. No cross-site tracking. No selling of email lists. No sharing of analytics data with third parties beyond Google Analytics (the processor).

  3. 03

    Why it is collected

Request logs: security and uptime. Email: to send the occasional note when there is something worth sharing. Analytics: to understand which pages are read and where visitors come from so the site can be shaped around real behaviour, not guesses.

  4. 04

    Legal basis

Under GDPR: request logs rely on legitimate interest (running the site). Email signup relies on your consent, given by submitting the form. Analytics cookies rely on your explicit consent via the cookie banner.

  5. 05

    Who has access

ÉPAINOS and the hosting / email / analytics processors listed here: Vercel (hosting), Google (analytics, only if you consent), and the email provider used for the readership channel. Processors are chosen for privacy posture, not price.

  6. 06

    Your rights

Under GDPR you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data held. You may also withdraw consent for analytics at any time via the cookies preferences. Write to epainosworks@gmail.com.

  7. 07

    Retention

Request logs: held briefly by the hosting layer (typically 30 days). Email list: held until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Analytics: retention set to the shortest window Google Analytics allows (currently 2 months).

  8. 08

    Changes

This policy may be updated. The last-updated date is noted at the end of the page. Material changes will be announced in the readership channel.
